DIY – Converse T-shirt

After a little trip to the Converse press day, I was given a nice cotton T-shirt by the brand. In the spirit of me wanting to do more customising, I decided this was the perfect opportunity to make this T-shirt into something more friendly for summer.
So starting off, I used the fabric pens provided by Converse and coloured in the shapes on the Tee……
Once the colouring was finished, I decided to create tassel’s at the bottom of the T-shirt. So with that in mind, I made sure the front and back of the T-shirt were together and cut them into sections.
These were around an inch in Width.
Once the cutting was finished, I used coloured beads (on every other tassel) to add a little more colour. I threaded these to the top of the tassel and knotted the fabric so each bead was secure. I also knotted the ones with no beads as this will ensure the tassel does not stretch too much when worn.
Now with my Tee nearly complete, I cut off the sleeve, so that it resembled a vest top and, Taa Dah! It’s done!
