Breaking my own fashion mold

Don’t these pictures look warm and sunny? Well truth be told, it was actually bloody freezing when Amy took these shots of me in Hyde Park. I always look at the weather report before I leave early each morning for work but on this day it was meant to be sunny and 18 degrees?!!

Anyway bitching about the weather aside, I actually had these shots taken as I was really keen to show off this totally uber cute blouse from H&M. I saw it just hanging there on a recent shopping trip and knew it was the one for me. Normally because I’m top heavy (30 HH), I would never go for something like this as there is a lot of focus on the general boob area and it’s not really a slimming shape. Having said that, I just fell for it’s shoulder frills, sweet look and the colour is SO Hamptons housewife!

When you try a shape you normally shy away from, I think it’s a good idea to work out what would balance out each item and compare colours that work too. As I’m curvy on top, I opted for a short culottes that balance out the blouse and made me more proportioned. Anything body-con would just look odd and make anyone appear more busty then they are.

I also used some denim to give it a more modern twist and I love how this whole outfit looks with a carousel in the background accompanied by lush grass and trees.
