Jasper Garvida – London Fashion Week S/S 2011

One of the nicest Fashion Designers showing at the Vauxhall Scout event was the lovely Jasper Garvida and he’s amazing collection for Spring/Summer 2011. Beautifully crafted dresses and clothing that shouted volume and presence where Jasper’s way of hitting the catwalk running.

A ruffled dress in Coral was the opening piece that instantly had you rooted to the runway. Next up the baby pink, 50’s style prom dress with spaghetti straps that was so elegant yet classic for the modern day woman.

The party season continued to a more updated feel with Sequin jackets, shorts, trousers and a giant gold disk waistcoat which was tailored yet divine.
Prints were also featured in the collection in the form of deep v dresses and ruffles appeared on blouses and other items as detailing for the added luxury feel.

Some tailoring was also cleverly imported into the collection in the form of shorts, blazers and even the sequin trousers had a smart feel to them.

Pleats and frills carried on the 1950’s influence and features such as flowers pinned to dresses giving the hint of corsages given by prom dates. These really finished off the outfits.
Over all it was eyeful with all the detail and well worth-while investing in some of these pieces for future events.
Jasper definitely has my vote for One to watch!
