Quirky. Friendly. Unique. These are just a few of the words that spring to mind when someone who’s been there hears the word Brighton. And in recent years the word “instagrammable” has started to become highly associated with the seaside town – and it’s pretty obvious why. With direct city links from the capital, it’s never been simpler to capture its charms on camera – just grab a train from London Bridge to Brighton, and you’ll be there in no time.
But what are Brighton’s most photogenic spaces? To find out, look no further than my in-depth guide right here.
Royal Pavilion
This historic landmark offers picture-perfect views throughout the year. Roam its gardens in the summer to catch its luscious floral displays and sun-drenched lawns. Alternatively, capture happy skaters at its winter ice rink. Inspired by Indian architecture, this is the ultimate in cultural design fusion – and though old, is truly instagram worthly.
Street Art
Let’s face it, is there anything more eye-catching than graffiti? When it’s done well, it’s super artistic – and that’s why Brighton’s street art features on my list. For the best spots in town, look to Instagram itself, and simply type in #BrightonGraffiti. You’re bound to find an array of public art as a result. If you fancy it, you could always tag artists in any of their work that you choose to feature and they may even share your image on their channels too.
The Flower Pot bakery
Have you heard of the Flower Pot bakery? If not, you’re in for a treat! This collection of Brighton-based bread emporiums boasts rustic interiors, charming staff and – of course – delicious food. And unsurprisingly, its chic aesthetic makes it highly instagrammable. Head here for tasty treats and photo opportunities galore.
North Laine
North Laine is often the place to be in Brighton. Its bright shop fronts and hipster joints make it ooze with visual appeal. So, why not snap and share its splendour on Instagram? Not to mention, its host of boutiques and vintage shops offer a fashion feast – and we’re talking individual style. For arty shots and quirky shops, try out North Laine.
Spiderplant Shop
In addition to its clothes shops, Brighton is also home to another kind of distinctive outlet: the spider plant store. This eponymous gem has Instagram-worthy written all over it, as its numerous visitors and avid social media fans demonstrate. Whether you fancy an indoor plant, need to unwind, or are just like looking for a rare photo opportunity, how about a mosey on down to this green interior haven?
Now that you know where to look, you’ll be able to make the most of Brighton’s photogenic charm. Where will you snap first? I can’t wait to see what content you produce!
