It’s been a while since I have been to Alton Towers so when things calmed down after Fashion Week and Gary decided to take some well deserved holiday, we just booked a two night stay at Splash Landings Hotel and it was great from start to finish!
I have been to Alton Towers a fair few times before but it’s always so lovely to go as the staff are really friendly and with the Water Park attached to the Hotel, it’s a great place to get in touch with your inner child.
Both the Hotel and the Waterpark have this great Caribbean theme that runs throughout the complex. From the carpets to the room fittings, the furniture to the cocktails, everything fits in perfectly with the whole look and style of a Summer resort and I think this does make the place more fun overall.
As well as enjoying a yummy breakfast in the Flambo’s Exotic Feast(which is a combination of Self-service of anything you would want to eat), we also headed over to the Alton Towers Hotel and had two amazing dinner’s at the Emperor’s Grill and the ever popular Secret Garden. Both meals were truly amazing and even though the price tags would be a little expensive for a family of four, the food was totally gorgeous and was well worth the money we paid.
Our room at Splash Landings Hotel was really comfortable too and even though the bed is a little small for two full grown adults, it was warm and I had no problem sleeping in it at all.
Going in October is a great time to go as Children are at school and you only get a few of them on Holiday leave or very small ones that are too young for School. There were several kids that would run up and down the corridor throughout the day in our Hotel but if you are going to Alton Towers you must expect that some Kids will be there and if anything, they do make your trip a little more fun too!
