Myself and a few key press were invited down to Selfridges to have our makeup done by YSL make-up artists to show us their new Holiday collection. As the Festive season was just round the corner, it was great to get some cool techniques from Michael who was my make up artist and see what exciting new colours they had for AW.
To Start off with, Michael found the right shade of Le Teint Touche Eclat to give my face a base foundation and give it a wake up call.
Michael also showed me YSL’s Pouder sur Mesure which is a power foundation that has a clever twist action that releases the power gradually so you don’t use too much.As I love a little blusher, Michael then applied YSL’s Cream Blush in a cute pink which gave my face some depth and colour.
Next up was the eyes and as someone who doesn’t use eyeshadow much, it was good to let Michael experiment. We used Pure Chromatics(Artic Night) to create a bluey-green look that matched my eyes perfectly and really made them pop.
To finish off, I wanted a nice pink to match my blusher for my lips so Michael used YSL’s Rouge Pur Couture Vernis a Levres Glossy Stain in the Rose Vinyl and this really did finish off my look and I love the colour on me. What do you think? If you get a chance try to pop to your nearest YSL counter and experience make up that feels lovely on your face and best of all, works perfectly with any complexion and colour.
