Izmaylova – London Fashion Week S/S 2012

I love a Fashion show with a difference and Izmaylova did fill that void at London Fashion Week. Held at Vauxhall, I was ready for the standard run that is normally performed there but to my surprise, we were shown upstairs and seated in what appeared to be a platform of a Train Station. With a Crystal-clear inspiration of a Journey Similar to the ‘Midnight express’, the collection consisted of Feather skirts, flowing Maxi dresses and Romantic evening wear that had a party mix added on. With a simple pallet of Beige, Cream, Mustard and Pastels, the pieces were complemented by their cuts, Stylish and affective with flattering colours that would sit happily on Sun-kissed Skin.

It was rare to see a show and a performance merge like Izmaylova’s and it would normally be seen at other Fashion weeks but was nice to see at London, even if it was for a short 20 minutes.
