Movie Review: The Hobbit: An unexpected Journey(Extended Edition)

I do enjoy anything that is magical and fun and this first installment of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is just that. The extended edition DVD comes with 5 fun parked disks and over 9 hours of Bonus material so if you are a huge fan of Peter Jackson’s Lord of the rings series then this will keep you very much entertained.

I have tried to read Tolkien’s books but found the old written text to be hard to swallow but the films explain the story line in a much simpler manner. If you like adventure movies and like being camped out on the sofa for the weekend, this film is definitely a must for you. If Medieval stories of dragons and such aren’t your thing, you probably won’t enjoy this film but it’s safe for kids and is something your Granny could easily watch too.
